Making deep creases disappear…
How we use multiple different and specialist tabs to cleanly remove this deep crease from a Tesla Model Y boot lid.
Straight crease tabs, flexible dead centres and hemi ice tabs were all used at various stages throughout this repair, doing their specific job.
Some parts of the damaged area is flexible, and some more stubborn, which is why you see such varied tabs in this repair video.

Sometimes we have to remove doors and bonnets to get the best access to the back of dents.
The bonnet on this Jaguar opens up the opposite way to a normal bonnet, and with the crease being at the front of the panel, this would prove very difficult for tool access, and more so the light placement to read the dent.
Once off there is plenty of drainage and clip holes to get to the back of the crease to repair the aluminium, saving a repaint on the 3 stage pearlescent paint.

Recent push to paint repair on a BMW X4 Competition, taking out some quite deep, stretched and all round pretty bad damage on the tailgate.
The paint was broken in several places along the back of the tailgate and top of the bumper, meaning this was to be painted at a later date.
But when severe damage like this does have damaged paintwork, it still can be viable for a PDR repair.
Technically not a “paintless” dent repair, but a dent repair!
Using lateral tension to reverse the stretching, pushing tools alongside glue pulling were used together to reshape the damaged area from both the inside and outside of the panel
This saved a complete and unnecessary full replacement, (which the owner had been told would be necessary), setting it up for painting futher down the line when required.
This speeds up a quicker turnaround, not having to wait for new parts, minimising repair time, less bodyfiller and so on.

Tesla Model 3 in for a collision repair on its near side quarter panel.
Extensive rippling, slightly bowed arch, main dents along the bodyline and some pretty solid crowns above that in the flatter area.
Can this be saved?
With larger more severe damage like this we never guarantee a 100% perfect finish, it isn’t always possible. But we will do the absolute best we can.
The other option the customer was given was panel replacement.
With no paintwork damage, that was completely unnecessary.
If the paintwork was scraped or chipped, we could turn this job into a pull to paint for a bodyshop to take over and repaint it.
With the paintwork unmarked and not wanting unnecessary work we went with a full 100% glue pull repair from start to finish.
That meant all of this damage was glue pulled from the outside using the @kecodentrepair GPR system, getting rid of the need for any stripping of parts, replacing them, and avoiding a repaint.
Being a 3 stage pearlescent red, that saved a fair sum in itself.

Double repair on 2 completely different cars, a now classic Ford Orion in an absolutely mint condition, then onto a equally well kept Nissan GTR.
A bodyline dent on the quarter panel of the Orion removed, along with a front wing dent, and 2 dents on the quarter panel on the GTR were glue pulled from the outside.

Over at @dmetuning_uk to remove an aluminium bodyline dent from one of their clients McLaren 720S.
The quarter panels on these are double skinned, there are a few small areas with very limited access, but nothing to get us to this dent, so this dent was removed with glue pulling, despite being aluminium, and on the bodyline.
Taken out in around an hour, this was removed for £192 including mobile call out.

Another dent not within cover from a Smart chip and dent policy…
A typical car park dent on the the bodyline of a BMW M4, no paint damage, a perfect job for PDR.
But this was deemed not to be covered under the owners dent and scratch policy provider, or couldn’t be repaired by their network of repairers.
Why? No idea.
When you take out these policy’s, always check the parameters of what is covered, we are being contacted by more and more customers who have this in place, but are being told it can’t be done, or it’s too big, or it’s on a bodyline, and more often than not it needs to go into one of their networks bodyshops…
We’ll leave you to decide why that might be…
But as it is, if you can find someone who can repair your dent, they generally will reimburse you the cost upto a certain amount, which was the case with this job.
These policy’s are useful, but always check the small print, and ALWAYS get a second opinion if you need to use it and have been told by them it can’t be done.

Here’s a shortened down repair video showing one of the ways we remove dents using cold glue and various knocking down techniques.
This is a great and quick repair method, but it’s got to be the right kind of dent, generally softer, less sharp dents are perfect for this.
Heating the panel and then using @glexopdr cold glue on a slide hammer, followed by blending hammers and knock downs removes the dent with paintless dent removal.
In real time this took around an 1-1.5 hours, not 59 seconds!

One immaculate Porsche 944.
A horizontal crease running along the quarter was removed with Paintless Dent Removal.
Now if it look closely there is a slight mark on the paint caused from the impact of whatever hit it, but this was to be left for the owner to polish out, upon his request.
The steel on these older cars is absolutely solid, and with a pad of sound deadening to push through we repaired this with constant heat alongside the @stanliner Sword tool.
A really clean repair saving it from a much bigger repaint.

New year, same Tesla dents, same result…
This time it was a long crease running along the face of the lower boot section on this Model Y, very deep, stretched damage, with some of the inner bracing protruding outwards.
But our experience shows this is something we can repair, and save another one from being filled, painted, or even worse, replaced.
Starting these off correctly is key, attacking it the wrong way can make so much more work for ourselves later on.
So glue pulling with @kecodentrepair to bring the depth of the panel up is what we’ll do.
After that, trim removal, and then the majority of the time is spent meticulously pushing the crease and dents from the back side of the panel.
Hours, not days, and this EV is back on the road, as original as it left the factory.

Polestar 2 in for repair with some unusually shaped and tricky dents on the drivers side rear door.
Suspected damaged like this is usually caused by another car brushing up against it, typically coming in and out of a tight car park space.
Dents that are on the leading edges of doors are usually tight to get to, as the ends of the doors aren’t as open and deep compared to the middles of the panels.
So with that being the case, we tooled out as much as we can with a @stanliner tools custom Penguin, and glue pulled the remaining inaccessible areas with the @kecodentrepair GPR system.

Does this Tesla Model 3 wing need replacing?
That’s what the owner was told, and we’ll go into costing in a second.
The main dent pushed in the bodyline, and from the impact it caused a secondary dent closer to light, and finally bowing out the panel edge between the light and bumper lip.
All of this is repairable with paintless dent repair, despite the panel being double skinned in this area (that means there is a secondary skin directly underneath this outer surface you can see.)
£700+vat the owner was told by the manufacturer just for a new wing, which it didn’t even need! On top of that it would of needed labour, painting and blending the adjacent panels.
Now not every piece of damage is repairable with PDR, but to be told this particular dmage isn’t repairable seems a little over the top.
We removed this damage without the need for replacement, filling and painting for £300+vat in a same day turnaround.
We are well aware of the rising insurance costs the public is having to pay, excess’s are going up etc, and we will always to our best to stay competitive when it comes to comparing with a claim.

Facelift Model 3 in with an immensely deep bodyline dent on the upper tailgate.
Unlike most of the dents you see on the Model Y tailgates lower down, on the 3’s this is the section that takes the impact from reversing into something.
Although small in size, these dents are much more difficult to remove compared to the larger Model Y dents.
The access is considerably restricted, and the bodyline is so incredibly solid, it’s a surprise the paint doesn’t split here on impact.

The quarter panel on this Tesla Model 3 was caught in a hit and run, and after initially going down the insurance route but being told there will be no one to claim off, it came down to paying out of pocket.
After getting some questionable repair quotes, they reached out after finding us in several Tesla forums to see if we can help.
Discussing there were some slight marks in the paintwork but the dent was the main concern, (letting the customer know ahead we can polish and touch in to massively reduce them) we got the job booked in.
Making the 250 mile journey from south London, we spent around 2/3 hours getting the wheel arch bodyline spot on with a 100% glue pull repair.
This saved the vehicle being powered down, saved parts and trims from being removed, and ultimately filling and repainting.
Once the dent was removed, a flat and polish came next, then finally touching in the chip on the bottom edge to finish the job.
Absolutely made up, and a small fortune saved, and more importantly an insurance claim free repair, they were back on their way home.
